Shagreen etui with smelling salt bottles, C 1800

A very nice smelling salts flacons in a Napoleonic french shagreen etui (1800 circa) fitted with a pair of salts bottles. The bottles have a glass lid with a silver screw cap. Smelling salt is also known as spirit of hartshorn or sal volatile, are chemical compounds used for arousing consciousness.
Measurements etui: 6,5 x 2 x 5,5 cm.
