An antique french pewter medicine spoon

A antique french pewter medicine spoon. The hinged lid was to prevent spillage of the contents whilst they were being sipped from the bowl by the patient. The top of the lid is marked with two circled letter a and c, a caron and bvt (breveté) 3531 is a commonly seen patent mark on quality french products. Measurements 235 x 40 mm.
