Apothecary Syrup jars Delft, Anthony Pennis, De twee Scheepjes
On application
Two apothecary syrup jars from Delft made by Anthony Pennis(signature: AP). He took over the ownership of a company called ‘De twee Scheepjes’ from his father in 1764. These two syrup jars were made between 1764 and 1782. The two jars have a peacock motif(which is very common with apothecary jars from Delft). The handle from the jar with the text ‘Pap. Rhead’ has been broken as is shown on one of the pictures. The other jar(‘Althae’ on it) is in a pretty good condition. Measurements: 23 x 22 x 16 cm.
