Casella’s pocket altazimuth, for travellers and military surveyers, altitudes, azimuths, compass bearings, clinometric degrees and levels are all obtainable by this handy and accurate little instrument whose diameter is 6 cm, thickness 3 cm. This description was taken out of the original casella catalog from 1862. This, brass and metal, surveyors instrument was used in navigation for measuring the altitude and azimuth of celestial bodies. It is still in good condition and comes with it’s original, maroccon-red leather royal-blue velvet lined, case.
