Early 19th cent. amputation and post mortum set by D. Gennari Milano

An Early post mortum set by “D. Gennari Milano” with a label of “Cassa per Sessione” on the lid of the box what could be also used as an amputation set. There is a literature with image of amputation made with hammer and Chisel. Gennairi was a surgical instrument maker active in Milan in the first half of the 1800’s. The hammer. scissors and 5 scalpels instruments are signed by “Gennari – Dottori – Milan0”, one Scalpel is signed by “Vernetti Milano” and the amputation saw, with ebony handle, has the letters “…..occo / …. Turin” in an Oval Circle where I have not yet traced the name. The large chisel, with a horn handle, and the amputation pincers are unsigned There are 2 missing forceps.
