A surveying compass, signed by gargory fecit, 5 ballstr, birm. Dated 1850 / 1860. Beautifully engraved 11 cm silver plated dial with a 8 points compass rose and wreath around the needle post. The compass needlelock is in working condition and the needle gives easy the north to when released. The original tripod has a mounting ball and with socket. Each pillar of the tripod can be screwed of into 3 parts, so that the compass has 3 different working heights. The ring, to keep the tripod pilar together, is present
