Lithorite by Mathieu. Steel screw lithorite, manufactured by Mathieu of Paris. Lithorite consists of curved metal stem with ridges cut into curved end. Within curved end is a smaller cutting blade. This cutting blade is released by controlling screw mechanism at other end of lithorite. Instrument was used in the removal of bladder stones. Size of bladder stone could be gauged by increments of 5mm, marked by engraved scale on side of lithorite.
