A polychrome hand painted, plaster, human torso, mounted on a ebonised wooden background: 34 x 22 x 9 cm. The numbered organs are visible but can not be taken out. The torso is complete.
Signed on a brass plate ‘merkelbach & co, amsterdam. This firm was founded in 1845 as ‘merkelbach’, the ‘& co’ was submitted in c. 1890
