A amputation saw c.1830 by the instrumentmaker ‘weiss’, 62 strand london (1823-1831). The large saw, also called a ‘dr butcher’s’ with hatched ebony handle and a very fine original blade with tension ajustment, was designed to minimise damage to soft tissue during the surgery.The lenght of this saw is 33cm.
